Kaizen Club update: Not so much for me

Kaizen focuses on small, incremental, bite-sized improvements on a continual basis.

I'm okay with that.

But for me, Mark Joyner's Kaizen Club took bites that were a little too small for my tastes.

You're given a single, simple task to master over the coming 21 days. Each week a new task is added, so you're not working on more than 3 tasks at a time.

It's a brilliant concept - and one I'm planning on using in my new training program.

The problem with Mark's program as I see it, is that everyone starts in the same place.

And I was already past step 1 (and 2) when he introduced them to me, so I felt like I was being held back, not making improvements.

What can I say, I like life to have a FFWD button. That way I can get to the part I need, and can start where I'm comfortable.

For someone that needs everything laid out from teh very beginning steps - Mark has it COVERED! If you're already along teh learning curve a bit, you may find Kaizen Club to be a bit rudimentary.

It's a solid program, though, and for beginners, I highly recommend it along with Mark's FREE Simpleology 101 course. Both of thes programs will take you from absolute beginer (which was me in January 2008) to the best next level you could attain.

Warm cups=warm fuzzy feelings for you

I posted about Mark Joyner's new Kaizen Club, and while I think the idea is great, I'm still on the fence about the actual club.

But I'm LOVING the bonuses.

Case in point. I dug into Ken Yu's "Dark Side of Twitter" and in video one, he discusses the relationship between Twitter and the "warm coffee cup research" done at Yale.

In essence, he equates Twitter to a big warm cuppa java.

Brilliant.

Are you on Twitter yet?
Follow me!

His suggestions and concepts are akin to somehing ripped from the pages of Mark's Mind Control Marketing book.

I know I'm going to be doin a few things differently from now on.

Kaizen Club: Do you know what makes me hopeful?

I'll tell you in a second, but first ...

I got this email from Mark Joyner last night:
"Ask anyone around the world and it's quite clear:
Night before last the world, together, was given a renewed
sense of hope.

"It doesn't matter where you're from, what you believe in,
who you voted for as an American. Some moments bring the
world together and that was one of them.

"I personally don't agree with all of Obama's policies, but
I agree with the message he gave the world in his acceptance
speech: peace, liberty, and hope for the future ...
Those are ideas we can *all* get behind."

What really makes me hopeful is that I live in a time where
great information from true visionaries can make its way
to so many people - all through the power of technology.

For example ...
Tonight at 8PM Eastern Mark Joyner's "Kaizen Club" goes live.

If you don't know Mark, you should ... He has been referred
to as "one of the most important minds of the 21st century"
by news agencies and scholars and his books are read
throughout the globe in 20 different languages.

What Mark is offering there fits perfectly with this
wonderful moment in history.

Kaizen is, in fact, about hope. It is a system of changing
your life that is so easy and unstoppable that it's hard not
to be filled with optimism.

If you haven't yet read the back story (and the hundreds
upon hundreds of responses from people), check out the blog.

This is truly a great time to be alive.
I know for myself, this year has been exponentially better because of the time I've spent learning from Mark and his Simpleology programs. I can safely say that I wouldn't have made near as much money this year without Mark.

I encourage you to go take a peek when the doors open tonight. It's going to be amazing.

Sarah Coventry Closure = Wrong Kind of Buzz

I wanted to drop you a note to let you know a couple of things:

First, my heart goes out to ALL Sarah Coventry reps that have been effected by their recent closure. I'm working on a special call for all reps, but ESPECIALLY Sarah Coventry Reps faced with a "now what?" decision. Stay tuned for more details.

If you know anyone looking for the next step in their business, I encourage you to point them to our website, get them signed up for the newsletter and help them in any way you can. Direct Sellers need to stick together.

I've been contacted by more than a dozen Sarah Coventry Reps in the past few days, which is why I KNOW this is a critical time in the business - not just for them, but for you as well.

Most of them called asking for guidance, direction and company recommendations. But a couple called to THANK me. Because of what I teach in Home Party Solution, they were able to position themselves as an expert and grow their personal database even while their Sarah Coventry websites were being deactivated. These consultants are transitioning to new companies with less effort and headache than those that put all their eggs in the basket of Sarah Coventry.

I wish I could say I was shocked. In this day and age, not much surprises me anymore. This year has seen at least two well-funded, reputable companies close their doors - and a few more less-than-reputable ones as well.

This is why I PREACH on the fact that you need to brand yourself first. In fact, I decided today that my next book will focus entirely on that concept. Direct sales reps eed to be concerned about promoting their own image and perosnal brand in the marketplace. That way, when your company closes (and Sarah Coventry is a great example), you'll still have clients and a market to srve - you'll just need a new product.

Think of it this way: If you own "SUPER STORE", and the manufacturer stops making "Brand X Soap", do you close your doors? No! You find a different supplier. But if people only thought of you as a Brand X Soap salesman, you'd be out of business fast.

That's what's happened to so many consultants this year.

So I'm asking you to pass this message on as a reminder. The more we share this message with consultants, the stronger our businesses will grow. I'm so passionate about this, you'll see it on my blogs in a day or so. We need to keep hearing (and sharing) this message.

Mark Joyner's Word Of Mouth Transformation program can solve a problem like this before it starts. If these consultants had been creating a buzz about themselves, instead of their companies, they'd not be in this situation right now.

Ted Nicholas and Joe Sugarman: Great Teachers Together

Leave it to Mark Joyner to make sense of copywriting madness like this!

He's put together the granddaddy of all coypwriting courses - even Dan Kennedy can't compare to this. Ted Nicholas AND Joe Sugarman join forces in Mark's newest addition to the Great Teachers series Direct Response Copywriting.

This is no ordinary course. It's fed to you in monthly increments and spills the beans on just about every possible angle you canuse to maximize your copywriting.

Simpleology 103 helps me kiss 10 pounds goodbye!

Hot-cha!

We did it again. After completing Simpleology 103 again, I've watched my scale be a little more grateful each time I step on it.

Since I finished the musical I was in, I really thought I migt gain a few pounds, since I wasn't dancing every day. But not this time, folks.

Mark Joyner is my hero.

He doesn't tout Simpleology 103: The Simple Science of Energy as a weight loss program, but I can say that thanks to his unique method of presenting energy concepts, I have changed some of my eating habits, and dropped 10 pounds.

And that's just the beginning.

Simpleology Blogging Gets the Best of Me

I've been a student of very nearly every single Simpleology course Mark Joyner has to offer.
But the one I come back to over and over again is theone on blogging.

First, because it's free. Second, because it's LOADED with timely and useful ideas to build a blog, and make a little dough on the side.

To date, one of my blogs is netting me a tasty little bit of cash each month - about $12.

Nope, that's not a truck load of money - but all I have to do to ake it happen is keep on posting.

And if you haven't figured out by now, I like to blog.

But the best part is, that's money I never would have had if it weren't for Mark Joyner's course on Blogging. Because I didn't know about the resources that make it possible to make ANY money off my blog.

And now I have several blogs.

And while $12 won't pay all th ebills, it does cover my kid's life insurance policy.
One down, dozens to go.

I didn't fall into a hole... sort of

So the long absence is due to numerous events:

First, I was in a musical this summer, and I was also appointed vocal director and band director for the show. Needless to say, I had my hands full. The show ended on Sunday, and I've been recovering ever since.

Second, the number of subscribers to my free ezine for home party plan professionals, PartyOn!, has been growing by leaps and bounds. We're now over 1800, and keeping up with the email, the weekly e-zine and the added content for my private mastermind subscribers has been challenging from one week to the next.

Third, I have been invited by Mark Joyner to participate in a special coaching group. The membership is ultra exclusive, and the entry barrier is high. I've spent the last two weeks, just getting through the first section of the materials and it's like Simpleology on Steroids! It's like having a personal guide walk me through everything in Mark's programs (including Simpleology 103 and 102!) And that's only the first segment!

But before I go get swamped some more, I had to tell you that Mark's released a second free chapter in Mind Control Marketing - so if you don't have it, get it!

Personal Energy: Up, Personal Weight: DOWN!

Huzzah!

I still hate water. But I continue to shed pounds like crazy.

Can you say GRATEFUL?!?!

Mark Joyner's Simpleology 103: The Simple Science of Energy took me for a loop. I wasn't trying to lose weight (well at least not with his program). I was just looking for a way to increase my stamina, energy and focus during the day. I'm not even half way though the program and I've already started feeling the effects of making better choices in my life.

This week, I've seen a decided downward trend: I'm losing about a pound a day - so far.

Let's see how this trend continues.

Fluidity of Movement: Drink More Water

Mark Joyner's Simpleology 103 program addresses the issues of personal energy. This is by far the toughest course I've taken. Not because the content is challenging, but because my mindset has been in a completely different place for so long, that it's proven difficult for me to change.

I have never been a big fan of plain water. But I've been trying not to lose a bet that my 11 year old son made me: lose 50 pounds by Halloween or cough up $20 in cold hard cash.

I hate losing bets even MORE than I hate drinking plain water.

But the verdict is out on the total amount of water a person needs in a day. 8 eight ounce glasses of water is a great start - but it's not necessarily everything you need if you're in a hot climate, or you're heavier, or you're exercising a lot.

One rule of thumb says to drink 1oz for every 2 pounds you weigh. So if you weighed 150 pounds, you'd need 75 ounces of water every day. That's actually MORE than 8 eight ounce glasses of water.

But Mark offers a link to a water calculator - that doesn't appear to work for me. I'm somewhere off the scale! Dangit!

At the very least, he suggests drinking SOME water every hour. There's even a tool built into the free simpleology 101 program to help you do it.

Does a gargle and rinse count?

I really don't like plain water.

Creating The Irresistible Offer

I've started the Simpleology elective on The Irresistible Offer. It's based on Mark Joyner's wildly popular best seller with the same title. Incidentally, you can still get an electronic copy of The Irresistible Offer from Mark for free.

This course is so powerful. The thing I found most powerful (so far) is "the 4 big questions". These are questions that EVERY buyer asks before making a buying decision. I talk a lot about earning an "affirmative buying decision" from your customers, and finding these 4 questions really got my head spinning about ways to improve EVERYTHING I do to get those questions answered.

I am a Money Master!

That's the post I'm supposed to put up on Mark Joyner's Simpleolgy website after completing the Simpleology 102 course on Money.

Wait! Did you say a course on Money?

Yep, sure did. But you can't get this course without registering for Simpleology 101.

The good news is that Simpleology 101 is free. And you can test drive Simpleology 102 for a buck.

Talk about saving money!

For 30 days, you can use the entire course, view the videos, take the quizzes and learn everything that Mark Joyner has to say about increasing your money power.

There are essentially 3 powers, according to Joyner: Time, Energy and Money. You will use each in some combination for everything you do. In order to make more money, ultimately you want to expend as little time energy or money possible.

Simpleology isn't called the science of getting what you want for nothing.

Mark's Grand Law of Wealth is the simplest, yet most profound idea of all. And you'll kick yourself when you read it. I know I did.

But it's certainly changed my approach to the way I handle all things financial. And my world is dramatically improved because of it!

The Irresistible Offer Revisited

I've just begun Mark's Simpleology Course derived from the book, The Irresistible Offer.

Talk about an eye opener.

Mark's book discusses the 4 big questions that every customer asks before making what I call 'an affirmative buying decision'. Answer these 4 questions to the customer's satisfaction, and you've got a sale.

What are The Big 4? If you've got your free copy of The Irresistible Offer, you'd already know!

Viral Marketing Master - Moi?

There are times when I'd like to think I've got this Internet thing nailed down.

And then there are times when I know better.

I've just completed the second round of Mark Joyner's Viral Marketing Theory elective, as part of my Simpleology training.

A thought came to my mind that won't let me sleep: The idea of a Marketing Super Virus.
And literally, it's waking me up at night. If it works, it could revolutionize viral marketing on the Internet, and I'm probably giving away more than I should right now.

It's a LOT of work on the front end, so I figure there won't be too many people trying to implement it - let alone comprehend it.

But according to Mark's constructs, A good virus resists immunity and transmits like the wind.

A SuperVirus would have all that, and more.

To be continued...

The Great Formula - Free

Mark Joyner's follow-up to his smash book, The Irresistible Offer, is now available as a free e-book.

I almost cried.

See, I paid good money for that book a few years ago, and it's been sitting on my shelf collecting dust pretty much since that time.

Until Mark offered TIO as a free download. Then I figured I should re-read BOTH of them before everyone had a chance to learn what was within their covers.

Sure enough, he's made The Great Formula FREE for download, too.

The formula is simple, but by no means is it easy:

1. Create and Irrisistible Offer
2. Sell it to a thirsty crowd
3. Sell a second glass

See? I told you it was simple.
The book outlines the how, when and where of making endless sales built on character-founded actions.

So I thought I'd have plenty of time to finish the book before anything happened. I was wrong.

A few years ago Mark Joyner set out to uncover a hidden mystery, how every business fortune on earth had been made.

This is no small mission, but then Mark is no ordinary man. Using his years of military training and sheer determination he finally succeeded.

He shared this information in a book, The Great Formula, that
fast became a No.1 bestseller. Now he is releasing this same book as an ebook for gratis. That is free, nada, nothing.

All you need to do is go and collect it. Mark isn’t sure how long his publisher will allow him to keep this up.

The content in this book is priceless. I’m off to re-read my copy, it’s that good.

Asleep at the wheel? Not me!

I've been deep in the throes of Simpleology's Viral Marketing Elective for the past month, and what with all the travel and family activities, well, this blog has sort of gotten ignored - not good, if you ask Mark Joyner.

According to his free course on blogging, I should be posting at LEAST once per week. And I've been remiss in my duties.

But let me explain what has happened in the meantime.

In the last month, traffic to my personal website has increased substantially. But the traffic to my website to build a network marketing down line using the internet has DOUBLED.

Doubled my traffic in one month. How'd I do it?

Remember when I told you about Mark's free e-book, The Irresistible Offer? Well, I have to admit, I've read the book before, but this time, I REALLY took the message to heart.

And I created an Irresistible Offer for my website.
And Word got around.

Friday, May 9, 2008

This one has really "cooked my noodle."

Mark Joyner is running a rather controversial experiment that
has already sent the marketing experts into a tizzy.

You've probably heard of his book "The Irresistible Offer" - it's
what some call "one of the top 5 marketing books ever written"
and has been one of the best-selling marketing books of the last
3 years week after week.

Mark thinks that by giving it away in ebook form he is actually
going to boost sales of the book:

Is he right?

Only time will tell, but he makes some really good arguments -
even if they seem to fly in the face of what many people have
been saying over the last few years about the relationship
between digital downloads and print media.

I'll be watching this one closely, and so should you.

Meanwhile, you should also definitely grab the download.

Dr. Joe Vitale said that the book is "the first breakthrough in
over 50 years" and it seems the entire pantheon of marketing
gods are in agreement.

It's a deceptively simple read, but well, that's what Mark is
famous for.

20 Hours With Mark Joyner

Did you know that over the last two months a select group of people picked Mark Joyner's brains about everything he knows about becoming a bestselling author (something Mark has done 4 times now!) and that these sessions totaled over 20 hours?

They were 4 sessions lasting 5 hours each.

I was in on those calls. AMAZING stuff.

I don't know how Mark kept up with it (probably something to
do with Simpleology!), but here's what's really cool:

Each and every minute of these calls was recorded!

Can you imagine? 20 hours of the man some call "the Tiger Woods
of Internet entrepreneurialism" answering every question
imaginable - and you get to be a fly on the wall!

To get access to all 20 hours of these recordings, all you have
to do is purchase the "Simpleology Bestseller Blueprint."

Funny, huh? These recordings are a *bonus* on top of something
even more amazing.

Here's the skinny, though: because of this new addition the price of the Blueprint is going up to $1,497 in a week, but you can get it at the old price now.

I *highly* recommend it - not only does it cover everything you'll need to know on the road from "no book" to "#1 bestselling author of ...", but it also teaches you more about "launching" a product of any type than just about anything on the market.

I'm about half way through the program, and I can't tell you how valuable it's been for me in creating my next book launch.

This is a *mission critical* weapon on your business arsenal!

When you're talking about opening doors, nothing establishes credibility like being a best selling author. I STILL can't believe I got this whole course for peanuts.

The world stopped spinning - and I flew out of control

So here's what happened.

I've been so busy with "life" that I've fallen away from Simpleology for about a week.

Let me tell you, it shows. My office is in chaos, my family is discombobulated, and I still can't find one of the lenses to my kid's glasses.

Actually, I know where it is, I just can't reach it. It's trapped inside the seat belt retainer case in the door of my car.

But I jumped in feet first this morning to tackle my Daily Target Praxes, and in less than 3 hours, I'm back on track.

Mark Joyner has got to be one of the sharpest tools in the shed. It's a free course, the idea is simple, concrete and easily applied. You don't have to worry about making a mistake, just keep "hitting it until you hit it".

I've taken the Simpleology 101 course three times now, and every time, I believe my productivity goes up about 10%.

So I'm trying to get my world back together. Thanks to Mark and Simpleology, it's coming along nicely, thanks.

Want More Testimonials? BE a testimonial!

I learned a valuable lesson in quid-pro-quo when Internet Marketing Guru Mark Joyner published my testimonial. Here's how you can profit from this lesson, too.

Facts tell, but stories sell.

Anyone in sales will tell you that testimonials are the cornerstone of your sales presentation. Any time you can provide social proof that your product will do what it says, people are more likely to take interest, open their wallets, and buy.

When I talk about "affirmative buying decisions", I'm talking about people that say yes to your offer - even if the offer doesn't cost a thing. It may be booking a party, joining your business or offering a referral for future business if they are not presently interested in your offer, but know someone that might be interested.

I learned a valuable lesson in the power of testimonials. Not because I got one, but because I gave one.

You've heard me cheer about Mark Joyner's re-release of MindControlMarketing, for good reason. The book is amazing, insightful and a must-read for anyone serious about understanding their client's motivations for an affirmative buying decision. Not only that, but the missing chapter alone is worth the investment of $27 for the book.

In reading the book, I made a comment about the congruency between what Mark does and what he writes about. I posted a note to Mark's blog about how fascinating it is to watch his writing unfold in the work he does on a daily basis. I ended my post by saying the book was "so exciting I can't stand it!"

Little did I know how that one comment would change my world.

Mark wrote a follow-up email to his subscriber base, and not only did my little unintentional testimonial appear in the body of the message, but it was FEATURED as part of the subject line! That's a profound nod from Mr. Joyner.

In that email, he included several short testimonials, along with links to the sites of those who wrote them. That little message changed my world.

The day that the message was delivered, I saw a 15% spike in my site traffic, as well as a 40% jump in opt-ins. The NEXT day, those results almost doubled, and sales spiked by 20%.

Would one email like that make a difference to you? It did for me.

So when you're collecting stories from your clients about their favorite products that you sell, think about the products that you know and love. Offer testimonials to them and you may just find that YOUR business will be booming in return.

3 Ways to Attract Traffic to Your Blog

In the Simpleology Electives Course on Blogging (which is free, by the way) Mark Joyner suggests 3 methods for driving traffic to your blog, in order to make it a well-read posting place in cyberspace.

Mark's 3 tips for attracting high quality traffic are as follows:

* Improve your posts
* Optimize your blog for search engines
* Linkup with other blogs

I've been working on keeping this blog very simplelogy-centric as a means of optimizing the blog. I want Google to understand very clearly what this blog is all about - all things SIMPLEOLOGY.

With the advent of guest blogging, I've managed to get one of my blogs linked into a few other blogs. I'm pretty happy about that, but there's still lots of work to do.

Simpleology has been a mind expanding ride for the last 4 months (I discovered Mark's site in January, and I've been working my way through each of the courses a little at a time).

I try hard not to sound like a devotee, or some religious nut. This stuff is almost cult-like, I must say. Mark's work with MindControlMarketing is very evident when you step back from the whole simpleology picture and assess what Mark Joyner has done.

Please Welcome Special Guest... ME!

As part of the Simpleology Blogging course, one of the suggestions to improve your blogging abilities is to find a gig as a guest blogger.

So I did.

Local columnist and modern day curmudgeon, Andrew Heller offers locals the opportunity to post a guest spot on his blog.

Guess what? He picked me!

I know you guessed it, but it was still kind of exciting to me. He chose a post I wrote for my blog on Real Life Marketing.

Read my guest blog on Andy Heller's blog, and see the picture of me with really short, curly hair.

Mind Control: The Missing Chapter

I didn't have to wait in line for long.

I snagged my copy of Mark Joyner's re-release of MindControlMarketing.com within an hour of it going live.

And the missing chapter, while short, is the grown jewel in the book.
Dubbed an extention of Simpleology "Underground", Mind Control Marketing's illustrious missing chapter hones in on mind control itself, how cults use it, how to protect yourself from it - and most importantly, how to create a cult-like following for your ventures.

Ironically, I think Mark's done just that with the entire Simpleology program. In a very cult-like way, he has created a loyal following on a global scale. Unlike a cult, however, Mark's opened the minds and eyes of people in ways that truly benefit themselves, and ultimately mankind.

If you look at Mark's Facebook profile, you'll see that the objective of his company is to self-fund Construct Zero - which is a terminology Mark has identified with a type of unified consciousness development that serves to liberate the oppressed through global programs that reach out and serve people for little or no cost.

Truly a lofty and admirable goal. Not easy, but lofty to be sure.

And if anyone can pull it off, Mark Joyner probably can. He's a thinker, a planner and a DO-er of the highest order. And Mind Control Marketing ties the ribbon on it nicely.

The "missing" chapter entitled, "Brainwashing: Genuine Mind Control in the Extreme" lays out the differences between creating a cult-like following and creating a cult. In Mark's own words:

The temptation to turn your customers into a cult-like following (and I don’t mean in a good way) is perhaps too much for the average business owner to resist.
The more I looked at the formulas for brainwashing you’re about to learn, the more I realized that these are simply the same methodologies that we use to brainwash our children in school, the methods that governments use to brainwash populations, and the methods that self-help fads use to brainwash their followers.

But ultimately, Mark offers the following points to create a positive following:
  • A cult-like following should be based on voluntary participation. Cults use coercive tactics to "encourage" and downright force members to participate.

  • A cult-like following is based on a love for a product or thing. Cults develop a blind faith in the figurehead of the group. The idea is to create groupies, not for you, but for your ideas, product, or conceptual models, which should, in a perfect world, serve a greater good than yourself. Selflessness sells, folks.

  • A cult-like following should be inclusive, rather than exclusive in terms of respecting others outside the following. Says Joyner, "a cult 'shuns the non-believer'"

There's so much in this chapter that at first blush, you'll think you've been short changed by these 12 little pages. Be thou not fooled, however. Mark cites 3 specific examples of powerful brainwashing techniques and how to "defend yourself" with remarks on effectiveness, usefulness, and psychological impact.

It's 12 pages of intensive instruction and dissuasion all rolled into one.

500 bucks for 27 bucks

Would you pay 27 bucks to get 500?

Who wouldn't, right?

The problem is, you wouldn't believe the offer.

And this is the primary problem with most business. You have
something that will change peoples' lives, but they just don't
believe you - because, well, not everyone is honest like you.

How do you get people to believe you then?

That's one of the many mysteries revealed in "Mind Control
Marketing
."

Ironically, the 500 bucks for 27 bucks thing works quite well
here.

Tattered and beat up copies of the book have been sold on the
Amazon marketplace and ebay for $100 to $500.

It's now out of print and because the late Gary Halbert called it
"1 of the 3 most important books ever written about marketing"
people will walk over broken glass to get a copy.

But as of 8PM tonight, you can get it in electronic form for only
27 dollars.

Plus, you get the fabled "Missing Chapter" that no one in the
world has read yet.

I have a copy of the original book myself and it's been an incredible read. I'm going to be one of the FIRST to get the missing chapter - you can bet on it.

I don't recommend a lot of money spending - you know me. So as an extra incentive, if you buy your copy here (and email me a copy of the receipt), I'll GIVE you $10 back. So you're really getting this book for $17.

You seriously can't find it at a better price anywhere else!

I have no idea how long this will remain available, so go grab
your copy fast. I predict they'll only leave it up for a very
short period of time and that they are using it to attract new
customers in a very short period of time.

Three Steps to Success

Mark Joyner's philosophy on success can be summed up in three simple steps:

"1. See your target.
"2. Keep it in your sights.
"3. Hit it (until you hit it)."

Simpleology 101 hones this "formula" by outlining exactly what Mark means in each step. It sounds simple, and it is (That's why it's called the SIMPLE science of getting what you want!). But that doesn't mean it's always easy.

Often in life, we are thwarted - either through our own doing, or external forces - and get sidetracked from our goals.

Our intentions get left by the side of the road, and we site scratching our heads a few years later wondering what happened.

Or worse, we forget we got sidetracked and say "See? Things never go my way."

I find that the more time I spend focusing on my targets, the easier they are to achieve. The bad news is that in spending more time on my targets, I'm not spending my minutes focusing on other people's problems anymore.

I didn't say it was bad news for me... just that it was bad news.

And the results have been exponential. In just one hour of focused activity, I was able to connect with 3 new mastermind members and create some goodwill for a future project. I also made a few sales and boosted my bottom line this month - which was sorely needed after the time away I took because of the funerals.

But as things re-organize, I find myself better poised to take advantage of the opportunities that are coming my way. And they're coming in waves...

...tidal waves, baby!

Mindcontrolmarketing.com Returns!

Mark Joyner wrote a classic marketing treatise: MindControlMarketing.com How Everyday People are Using Forbidden Mind Control
Psychology and Ruthless Military Tactics to Make Millions Online
.

Mark sent me an "ebook" copy of the book about a month ago as part of a promotion, and I've been consuming that book like the "starving kids" in Ethiopia eat rice.

I don't mean to be crude. It's THAT good.

But rumor has it there's a missing chapter in that book.

So yes, you could buy this on amazon, but how would you like to download it for MUCH less - and get the missing chapter to boot?

On April 8, Mark Joyner will be re-releasing MindControlMarketing.
To learn more, watch Mark Joyner's video at the Mind Control Marketing website.

I have to admit, that although I already have a copy of the FIRST book, you can BET I'll be first in line when the doors open on April 8.

Why?

Because Mark's work has already changed my life in the three short months I've been working through Simpleology. I know that Mind Control Marketing is going to kick major booty!

The legendary book returns April 8. Get your copy before it's gone again!

Mark Joyner can be proud of his many accomplishments.

In less than 36 hours, his book, "MindControlMarketing: How Everyday People are Using Forbidden Mind Control Psychology and Ruthless Military Tactics to Make Millions Online" rocketed to number one on Amazon and left a cloud of dust in it's wake as it was taken out of print almost as quickly.

There were rumors as to why the book was pulled. Speculation soared around the possibility that Mark's relationship with the "seasilver incident" that coincided with his book launch, may have led to the withdrawal of the book from the market. Internet circles buzzed about the possibility of a missing chapter, that would never be made available to the public.

Whatever the reason, the absence of the book led to skyrocketing sales prices on Ebay and Amazon. As of this writing, the book is currently selling at a starting price of nearly $200.

Mark seems to have had a change of heart, however, as he just announced a re-release of his book that will launch April 8, 2008. The pre-order mailing list for MindControlMarketing is already growing daily.

Simply put, Mindcontrolmarketing is one of the best books on persuasion, closing and customer sales skills you could possibly own. A quote from the opening chapters leaves little doubt of the effectiveness of Mark's strategies. In perusing my "old" copy, I am reminded of a description of a collegiate experiment, where students were told to apply increasingly higher voltages of electricity to a "subject" (a paid actor hired for the experiment). Ultimately the subject would be dealt a lethal voltage level, but the question of the experiment was whether or not the students would deal the final blow if they knew they would not be prosecuted.

The student was told with authority that it was OK to go ahead. This was an "officially-sanctioned" experiment, and they would not be legally or ethically liable for whatever happened. Amazingly, 62 percent of the students taking part in this experiment were willing to administer the fatal shock.

Mark Joyner then goes on to illustrate the power that authority has over group mindset. I've written before on the power of establishing yourself as an authority in the eyes of your client group. This chapter outlines they whys and hows of the effectiveness of being an authority in a sales environment.

But this is only one of twenty chapters (twenty one in the new release) that cut right to the heart of how to persuade without coming off like a salesman, as well as how to protect yourself from the barrage of "salesy" messages that permeate our world on a daily basis. Mark Joyner talks extensively about "herd mentality" and how to create your own herd, harness that mentality, and corral them straight to your pocketbook.

I would hardly call this an unbiased endorsement, since I've been an avid follower of Joyner since I discovered Simpleology in January, 2008. There's little that he puts out that isn't excellent, and as a Network Marketer, there's much to learn from someone that appears to be completely out of the MLM arena (although he WAS in network marketing at one time). In fact, Mark's current blog discusses the odds of success in a Network Marketing venture, and while I tend to disagree with some of his theories, I admire the open conversation that's going on there.

But for the serious Network Marketer - whether you're in a home party plan or multi-level type company, you need this book. And Mark's promised a more reasonable sales price when the book re-launches: less than $30USD.

Originally written for the Internet Marketing community, there's plenty of learning to do with Joyner's book, and the ""missing" chapter purports to be even more powerful than the rest of the entire book. Loaded with illustrations that instruct as well as impact, MindControlMarketing is a powerhouse crash course in marketing tactics. With chapter titles like "Obedience to Authority" and "Framing: Beauty may be only skin deep, but who wants to be ugly?", Joyner understands how to push the hot buttons of your customers and encourage new business, repeat business, and continuous business - for years to come.

There's no word yet on how long this version of the book will stay around, but if the video on Mark's MindControlMarketing website is any indication, you can be sure sales will be brisk.

See the Battlefield

In Simpleology 102, Mark Joyner recounts a story from his days as an Army officer. The crux of the lesson is this quote:

What defines a leader, more than anything else, is his ability to see the battlefield.

Communication is important, so is team building, but ultimately, you have to be able to see the big picture.

Gretzky said something about going to where the puck is going to be, not where it's been, and whether or not you subscribe to that notion, you will agree that regardless of where the puck is, if you're going to play the game, you need to make sure you're in the right rink in the first place.

Being able to see the big picture is a skill and an art. Like jigsaw puzzle, you have to focus on individual elements of the picture in order to complete it effectively, but if you can't see what the outcome is, you'll have a heck of a time knowing whether or not you're piecing it all together properly.

Simpleology 102: The Simple Science of Money, is a continuation of Mark's Simpleology 101: The Simple Science of Getting What You Want. Everything that Simpleology 101 does to organize your mind and focus your life, Simpleology 102 does for your finances - and THEN some.

Since I started implementing lessons learned in the program, I've seen a jump not only in cash flow, but in control of that cash flow. I'm making smarter investment decisions because I'm focused on the end result.

I'm able to see the battlefield more clearly.

The Shortest Distance Between Two Points Can Be Hard To Find

The First Law of Simpleology is the Law of Straight Lines, or more commonly recognized as "the shortest distance between two points is a straight line"

Mark Joyner says that if you "find the fastest and most direct route" to your desired goal, then you can have it in no time.

Except for the fact that finding that route is like finding a needle in a haystack anymore.

According to Joyner, "you're bombarded with so many distractions every day that the straight line is no longer obvious."

Ain't it the truth?!

I see this every day I spend any time in the Internet Marketing forums online. There's always some guru launching the next "must have" product to sit on your shelves and collect dust.

Believe me, I have my fair share of them, too. Stuff I thought I HAD to buy because it was a "limited time offer" and once it was gone, I couldn't get it anymore.

Then I realized how much nonsense that was. Simpleology 101 has helped me understand that immensely. Now, if I see a new product I'm interested in, I check my schedule and see if it's something I can reasonably implement. If not, I don't buy it. I don't care HOW good it is, it's worthless to me if it just sits there.

Moreover, it's COSTING me money if I never use it after I bought it. So why buy it? It's the equivalent of being materialistic in a marketing sense.

And the guru's bank on your greed to cash in your paycheck.

So if you bought a program you know will work for you. Create a plan - the shortest distance from where you are now to where you want to be, and then stick to it. Don't let the next "big thing" come between you and your goal. Let nothing distract you.

That's the surest way to get from point A to point B. Put on some blinders and get to work!

The Simple Science of Getting What You Want

That's the subtitle for Mark Joyner's First Simpleology Course: Simpleology 101.

Now I ask you, who wouldn't want to learn how to get what they want in a simple, scientific manner?

Especially that "simple" part. That really caught my eye.

So I created an account, and started working through the 101 course. I have repeated this course 3 times since I started it In January, 2008.

This is not because I'm ignorant, or too thick to learn. It's because it's THAT good.

My friends and family know I'm a voracious reader. I read everything - anything I can get my hands on pretty much. If it will make me smarter or more knowledgeable, I want to read about it. They joke that I'll probably be buried in a bookshelf-shaped coffin - with all my books.

I love my family. Really I do.

But this course teaches me something new every time I go through it. It's quick and easy because you spend no more than a few minutes each day working through the videos and workbook. The course actually as repetition built INTO it, and it only takes 40 days to complete the course. at only 2-5 minutes per day, I can ALWAYS find time to sit down in front of my computer, or listen to the recordings on my CD player.

Mark has really made it easy to be successful with Simpleology, too. Everything is taught in digestible bite-sized chunks - and he tells you not to do more than one lesson per day so that you don't get overloaded. Mark very specifically wants you to do just a little each day. Just make small improvements and over time you'll see tremendous results.

In the nearly 3 months I've been working through the 101 course, I haven't been 100% faithful. I admit it. In the beginning, I would skip a couple of days, and try to "catch up" by doing 3 or 4 lessons in one day. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

The best thing to do is take it one day at a time. Mark even give you weekends off, if you'd like.

But I have to tell you, I am the most effective and efficient when I am doing my target praxes every day - even on the weekends. Once you've gotten some practice at doing them, it really doesn't take long to accomplish them, and then you've got a very specific action plan for your day. I accomplish way more in one day with Simpleology, than a week without it.

I'm not kidding. When I skip a day now, I REALLY feel it. I feel so behind, so overwhelmed and so out of control, I'm practically screaming for Mark to "whip em back into shape".

I hope I'm not creating a dependency, and I don't think I am, because I've learned that even when I'm away from my computer, I can still implement the strategies Mark teaches to complete my daily target praxes.

And that "daily target praxes" sounds like some kind of communicable disease. It's really just a method for prioritizing the day's activities in a way that brings you closer to your ultimate goals in life. You stay focused on what needs to be done instead of getting distracted by whatever wanders through your day.

As an author, wife, mom, direct sales consultant, leader and coach, I have a lot of hats to wear. I need all the help I can get prioritizing!

I am a blogging master!

Having completed the Simpleology elective course on blogging, I find I actually enjoy this so much more than I ever thought I would.

Blogging, for me, has become an outlet, and a personal platform for all sorts of stuff. So many sorts, in fact, that I've now split my ramblings into a couple of different blogs. Some are updated more frequently than others, but all are important parts of who I am becoming.

I started Simpleology this year, having stumbled upon it - I can't even recall how, now. I think it was an email from Frank Rumbaskas, but I could be wrong.

Anywho, I thought it would be a great way to get my life in order - because my life it seems to me is totally out of order. So at the beginning of January, I thought, "Heck, it's free, why not?"

Plus, it was subtitled: The Simple Science of Getting What You Want. Who wouldn't like that?

What happened next was unfathomable.

My goals were being achieved faster than I thought possible. I was accomplishing more and more, and it sounds almost too good to be true.

It was. The minute I stopped using the Simpleology daily target praxes, my life felt more out of control than it was before.

This program is almost like a drug, I tell you.

My grandfather died at the end of February. Then on the day he was buried, my MOTHER died.

Two funerals in one week sucks.

But the worse part was that I was so "busy" that I let my daily target praxes go by the wayside.

And after two weeks, let me tell you my life wasn't very pretty looking.
So I committed to not only restart my praxes, but to begin the Simpleology 101 course again, to sharpen my focus and regain clarity even faster.

Mark has a whole series of courses, but 101 is free, effective, and the very first place I recommend you start. It is the foundation for everything else Mark teaches, and it's laid out in short video segments, no more than 10 minutes a day.

Mark also recommends repetition as a means of reinforcing what you're learning. Thus, once I've completed the Blogging course, I'm supposed to go back through it.

So that's what this blog is about: my journey with Simpleology and the teachings of Mark Joyner.

Read on and enjoy!
